Had them clean out my air intake. They decided to pull my wheels and check my brakes. Never asked them to do this. They cross threaded several lug nuts. I went and got the parts to change my brakes myself but couldn't get the lug nuts off. So I called them and asked if they could do the brakes and they told me no cause I had my own parts. Set up if you ask me.

On Dec 13th 2021, you brought your vehicle to us to diagnose, it had a lack of power and wasn't running right, We diagnosed the concern, found what caused it, then got authorization from you for the repair. As per the normal procedure here at Zimmerman's Auto Repair and because we sincerely care for the safety of our customers we offer a free courtesy inspection each time a vehicle is in our shop. This is a multi point vehicle check, that includes checking lights, fluids, the condition and tread depth of tires, along with a visual inspection of brakes thru the spokes of the wheels and from underneath behind the wheel. It is strictly an observation and since we observed that your brakes were worn down we did let you know per our courtesy inspection. We do not ever pull wheels on vehicles for this courtesy inspection nor do we pull wheels unless required for state safety inspection or a customer authorizes us to do so.

From start to finish Zimmermans was open and honest. The repairs that were needed would have easily cost well over 10k anywhere else. Not at Zimmermans, all the work that was done was well below 10k. I couldn't be happier with the service that I received. They stayed in contact with me every step of the way. This was my first experience with them since I'm new to the area. The work they did was immaculate. So much so that I put my second vehicle in the shop for some repairs and they found out the issue and had it repaired within 2 days. They have a guaranteed customer that will surely return anytime one of my vehicles need work done.

So. I drive a 24 year old car. The mechanics always take great care of my car to make sure it is road safe for as long as it continues to last. The secretary is super sweet and punctual as well. Not satisfied with them starting a job on my car and not finishing. Edit: Got my car fixed today. All that had to be done was reconnect the electrical conection for the valve. They told me I had a valve leak and it needed replaced. Sketchy shop, go here if you want scammed.

Jonathan I am sorry to see this review. We take pride in making sure that our customers are satisfied in the service we give and work we do on their vehicles. I would like to take a moment to address your review. You had stopped at our shop with a check engine light and we pulled the codes on the car for you to make sure it was safe to drive. We then set up an appointment with you to have you bring the car in for a diagnostic on the codes. Our mechanic completed a diagnostic and found that the purge valve solenoid needed to be replaced in order to take care of your issue. That information was shared with you and you chose at that point to reach out to your warranty company to see if they would cover it. You then called back and informed us it would be covered by them so we reached out to them on your behalf. We were notified of what they would cover dollar wise and then relayed that information to you. Being that they would not cover the entire cost for our shop to do it we let you know the remainder would be an out of pocket expense for you. You did not want to go that route so we put you in touch with a Ford dealership to see if they could help. At no point did we not want to take care of your vehicle for you but when it comes down to working with an aftermarket warranty company there are times they do not cover the complete repair and the vehicle owner is then liable for the balance. I apologize that you feel this way about us but I just wanted to clear up any confusion you may have had on what happened with the warranty company. We do thank you for your business and are always willing to help all of our customers as much as we can. We talked on the phone after we spoke with the warranty company and had a very friendly conversation together, not as you are describing here. When you notified us that the warranty company needed to be called the process was explained to you and then we called them. There was a long hold time the first time we called so we called later and that is when we talked to them and then called you. We are always willing to work with any aftermarket warranty company but just like any other business we can not go negative on a job and that is what was explained to you. I apologize if it was taken another way by you as that is surely not what was intended. As stated we were more then willing to do the work there would just be an out of pocket expense. We had to make a stop here as a last minute emergency, they took care of our problem we had and we was on our way back home. They let us wait in a waiting room that had a nice cool a/c.

I want to thank Zimmerman?s so much. Especially Angie and Henry. I wish you were here in Ohio. Customer service like that here is rare. I drove from Ohio with my son and his best friend to visit Gettysburg. Upon arrival my check engine light came on. I drive a 2010 Ram 3500 Dually. I had called a few places and, even though this was somewhat of an emergency, they could not make time to put my truck on the diagnostic machine. I had two young children with me and wanted to make sure the truck was not on the brink of breaking down. I called Zimmerman's and explained my situation that I was here form Ohio with my son and his friend and I was worried about the truck light and a possible breakdown. Angie was so nice and told me to bring the truck down and they would fit it in. Henry made time to put the analyzer on it. He stated that I should be OK until I get back to Ohio and it was most likely the crankcase filter. He was spot on. We were able to enjoy the rest of our trip without worry. Angie would not take any money or tip from me. When I came back to Ohio I had the filter replaced and all was good. I am so appreciative of Henry and Angie. I have not seen that level of customer service, especially in the auto repair business where you are usually held hostage with your vehicle repairs.
